Deacons were created in the book of Acts to help meet the many needs in the church so that the apostles can focus on preaching the gospel of Jesus. The Deacon Body at Providence is made up of godly men who provide leadership and help meet the needs of our church, so that the pastors can focus on preaching and teaching God’s Word.

The work of the church is done by ministry teams that we have at Providence. Ministry Teams are made up of church members in good standing who are elected by the church to serve a two-year term. The ministry teams do not do all of the work, but they take ownership of their area and recruit and train other members to help accomplish the work at hand.
