We want you to know that God loves you more than you could ever imagine and He created YOU to know him personally. It is possible for you to have this personal relationship with God, but there is a problem…

We are all sinners.

No matter how good a life we try to live, we still fall miserably short of being a good person. The Bible says, “There is no one good, not even one” (Romans 3:10).

The truth is, this sin is separating us from a Holy God. The Bible says, "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).

This means that we ALL are separated from God.

The Bible says that "The wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23). Yes, this means we will all die one day, but what this is also saying is that we are all spiritually separated from God… forever. Because remember, He is so holy that he cannot be in the presence of anything unholy (that includes our sinfulness).

but there is really good news.

The Bible tells us that “God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8) It also tells us that “God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16) This is the Good News!

To put it another way… God loves us so much that He sent His only Son to die in our place when we least deserved it, so we can live with Him forever.

So, we already established that the “wages of sin is death” as the Bible says in Romans 6:23. But the second half of that verse tell us of the hope we have in Jesus. The full verse reads, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” This means that Jesus bridges the gap between us and God. Without Jesus, we would have no way to have a true relationship with God. Without Jesus, we couldn’t really know God.

Jesus bridges the gap between us and God!

What will our response be?

Next, we have to decide what we will do with this information. Will we continue to live life separated from God? Or will we choose to turn to Him, trust and believe in Him, and allow him to cleanse us from our sins?

The Bible tells us to “repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away” (Acts 3:19). The word ‘repent’ means to change our direction in life. Instead of running from God, we can run toward Him.

How exactly do we repent?

Well, in Romans 1o:9-10 it says,If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

This is what is often referred to as ‘salvation’. Taking this step of faith will immediately wipe your sins away and allow you to have a real and personal relationship with the Lord your God.

For, ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’” (Romans 10:13)

Becoming a Christian.

Becoming a Christian, or Christ Follower, is not merely believing some creed or just going to church on Sundays. It is having Christ Himself take residence in your life and heart. Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in...” (Revelation 3:20) If you would like to have a relationship with Christ, simply pray this prayer and mean it in your heart:

“Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and life. I confess You as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me. Amen.”

We would love to encourage and pray for you.
